Voice dictation for Cursor

Cursor's agent does its best work when you give it context: what to change, where, and why. Saying that out loud is faster than typing it. Hold a key in Cursor's chat, describe the change, and let go. The cleaned-up request is waiting for you to send.

What you say, what lands

You say

“um in the user settings page move the save button to the bottom and like disable it until something actually changes”

Lands in Cursor

In the user settings page, move the save button to the bottom and disable it until something actually changes.

How it works

  1. 1

    Hold your key

Press and hold your push-to-talk key, or double-tap it to go hands-free.

  2. 2

    Talk naturally

Say it the way you would out loud. Ums, restarts, and corrections are fine.

  3. 3

    Let go

About half a second later, clean, punctuated text appears at your cursor.

Why Yappyy

Chat, agent, and inline edits

Yappyy types wherever your cursor is: the chat panel, the agent input, the inline edit box, or the editor itself.

Knows your codebase words

Put component names, APIs, and jargon in your Dictionary. Yappyy also reads the text right before your cursor to help spell names you just used.

Clean without rewording

Fillers and false starts go; your own words stay. Yappyy fixes punctuation and never summarizes what you said.

Tiny and native

A 9 MB Mac app in the menu bar. No Electron, no browser engine, nothing slowing your editor down.

Questions

Does Cursor have its own voice input?

Some AI editors add their own mic button, but each one works differently. Yappyy gives you one key that works the same in Cursor, your terminal, Slack, and everywhere else.

Will it mangle my variable names?

Add them to Yappyy's Dictionary and they're spelled exactly as you wrote them. Text before your cursor also helps it spell names you just typed.

Does it work in VS Code and other editors?

Yes. Yappyy works in any editor you can type in, including VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, Xcode, and JetBrains IDEs.
