Yappyy
Use cases

Dictate Slack and email

Most messages are quicker to say than to type. With Yappyy, you hold a key in Slack, Gmail, Mail, or Outlook, say what you'd say out loud, and let go. A clean message lands, in the style that fits: polished for email, relaxed for chat.

What you say, what lands

You say

“hey um can you send me the deck before the meeting, I mean before lunch, thanks”

Lands in Slack

Hey, can you send me the deck before lunch? Thanks

How it works

  1. 1

    Hold your key

Press and hold your push-to-talk key, or double-tap it to go hands-free.

  2. 2

    Talk naturally

Say it the way you would out loud. Ums, restarts, and corrections are fine.

  3. 3

    Let go

About half a second later, clean, punctuated text appears at your cursor.

Why Yappyy

A style for each place

Proper Yap for email (full sentences, final period), Easy Yap for chat (no period at the end), and Lazy Yap for texting friends (all lowercase, names kept capitalized).

Fixes what you meant

Change your mind mid-sentence and Yappyy keeps only the final version: “before the meeting, I mean before lunch” becomes “before lunch”.

Names spelled right

Add coworkers' and clients' names to your Dictionary, and Yappyy gets them right every time.

Private by design

Your voice goes only to AssemblyAI for transcription, while you dictate. Your history stays on your Mac, and Yappyy never reads password fields.

Questions

Does it work in Gmail in the browser?

Yes. Yappyy types into any text field, in the browser or in Mac apps like Mail, Outlook, Slack, Teams, and Messages.

Can I switch styles quickly?

Pick a style in Settings → Style; it applies to everything you dictate until you change it.
